april’s visit

so was informed by the school that they have called up the immigration and was told that my visa will be ready and done by the 18th. i will also need make a trip down to the school to register for my classes and also a trip down to the immigration to change my tourist visa into my college visa. 

i can’t believe it, school’s starting for me again. before i kept complaining that i’m so free and can’t wait for school to start, but when it’s really starting, i’m starting to dread it. you know, humans. 

r’s mom called as well, telling us that my apartment will only be available to move in, in april. well, just in time, since we will be moving all our stuff from gifu to kyoto on the 1st of april. 

not forgetting that my grandma, uncle, mom and brother is coming over to visit me on the 13th to 19th of april. i can feel lots of shopping and trips around japan. hopefully i don’t have classes everyday or late classes, so i will be able to join them. they are going to bring food and things over for me. 

omg, april’s a good month.

in a week plus

i’m leaving in slightly more than a week, 12 days to be exact.

R and i have been sending off packages and trying to donate our old clothing to the salvation army, but i reckon there’s more to be send off and to be donated.

i have already sent off around 50kg of clothing, but i don’t feel anything had been sent off. ): the amount of stuff i have is unimaginable.

registrar at school has also emailed me last week, telling me that the immigration is currently viewing my application now and they will get back my visa results sometime this month, god. please, i hope it get through.

valentines’ day

happy valentine’s to all
it’s by far, the most heart-warming valentines’ day i ever spent. 

i spent it with people i really love and cherish, R and xiaochen. i’m glad that i met them both in korea, and our relationship with each other will continue from korea, to japan and then to paris. and not to mention the other four new friends that xiaochen introduced to us over last year. 

oh, and four more weeks to japan !

visitors alert

last night i received a phonecall from my grandma saying that my uncle will be buying their airtickets soon, both to singapore and to japan.

and this morning i received an confirmation email that both of them will be coming to kyoto for 5 days. not only that, after reading about the fight between north and south korea, she is insisting that i leave korea as soon as i can, in march.

mum will be back in singapore today, she and dad will discuss about whether are we all going to taiwan this month, i hope we do though.

home alone

so i’m home all alone both today and tomororw. R’s left at 4am this morning to make his way to the ski resort somewhere 4-5 hours away from seoul. i wanted to join him and his friends but i decided not to. 

but no worries, i have plans to spend some time with my girls, xiaochen and yao. we will be meeting later around noon, to have lunch, change money, shopping and girls’ talk time ! 

and i’m awake so early, thanks to the bloody constructions that had been going on for weeks, since 19th january. every bloody morning, they will start work at around 8am and they don’t freaking stop till 6pm in the evening. i swear to god, if i wasn’t going to leave in just about a month and few weeks time, i would have pack my luggage and move out of this freaking apartment. 

i need sleep, i’m grumpy.

macbook love

after nearly a month, i finally picked up my laptop from my mom’s friend at his hotel. my mom got him to bring it over to him, since he’s on tour in seoul.

i’m loving every minute of it!

during chinese new year, i was on the phone with my parents and grandma. we called each other quite a few times and they kept telling me about all the food they are eating. they make me really hungry for singapore food!

i was also told by my mom that my dad is planning a trip to taiwan in february, most likely early february. if the trip is confirm, i will fly directly from here to taiwan to meet them up there!

i really hope this trip will be on. i need some chinese food and pampering from my parents. ;p

everland

the five of us; khairi, xiaochen, yao, ryosuke and i met up together a few hours for dinner and drinks. we havent met up in a group for quite awhile because of school and etc.

we were chatting randomly and telling each other stories and suddenly we came up with the idea of going to everland tomorrow, or should i say in another 4 hours?!

we are all going to brave the cold and harsh winter and go to everland tomorrow, maybe go to their snow festival event for snowboarding or ski as well. we’ll see !

on the other side, xiaochen has decided to go over to japan with me in march. she will be studying there for a term or two and will come back to korea or back to france. or who knows, i might even go back to france with her, haha. we always come up with crazy ideas.

its only my third day back in korea but i miss japan so badly already! ):

R’s mom also called today telling that my apartment has been confirmed. she will sign the contract and everything else for me

and being back in korea equals to meet up with xiao chen. i met her straight after i arrived home, we exchanged our presents for each other. and i’m super excited to say that she will be going to kyoto with me this coming april to start school !

AHHHHHHH..

goodbye japan

finally got hold of the internet and computer, so today marked the last day of my trip in japan, will be flying back to seoul tomorrow morning.

japan has been really good throughout this entire month, great food, great company and great friends that i have newly made. and of course, the best news ever is that i got into the university in kyoto !

also around 3 to 4 apartments on my hand to choose from, apart from that i got all my furnitures picked out and will be ordered when my apartment is confirmed.

so japan, see you in 10 weeks time again.

greetings from gifu

so, its my second day in gifu.　it has been really cold and it snow pretty often as well.

today we went to takayama to look around their tourist area, its an historial street that is being preserved from the edo period, and its pretty similar to streets in insa-dong in seoul. not only that, R used to go to high school in that area as well.

we will be going to tokyo tomorrow, taking the early morning 6.30am train and will be arriving in tokyo around noon. eric will be meeting us right after school in shinjuku. his school is near there and so is our hotel.

hopefully during our short 3 days, we will be able to do what we want to do. i want to get my brows and shopping done in shibuya, go to tokyo tower and disney SEA.

as soon as we get back from tokyo on the 11th -・thursday, we will be heading to kyoto on the 12th・friday.
